APC Ogun State Adopts Akinlade

All Progressives Congress in Ogun state has unanimously adopted Honourable Adekunle Akinlade as the consensus candidate of the party in the 2019 governorship election.
This was the outcome of a meeting of leaders, chieftains, and members of APC from all the senatorial zones in the state held at the government house, Oke Igbein, Abeokuta.
With this presentation and adoption Honourable Adekunle Akinlade has emerged as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 governorship election having been endorsed by the Ogun East and Ogun central senatorial zones.
Chairman of APC in Ogun state chief Derin Adebiyi said the party has spoken with one voice on the choice of a candidate from Ogun west as the next governor of the state.
Honourable Adekunle Akinlade described his emergence as a call to service and assured that the opportunity will not be taken for granted.
Honourable Akinlade says all hands must be on deck to ensure the resounding success of the party in all the coming elections in the state.
Ogun state governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun said as the cradle of politics the state must continue to meet up with the established standard in all things as being demonstrated in the choice of a successor and appreciated all other aspirants for putting the interest of the party first.
Governor Amosun says the constitution of the party allows for zoning and consensus candidate and where that fails direct primary will be adopted while giving assurance of a landslide victory for the party in the state.
The governor says consensus candidates will be adopted for all the forty elective positions and will soon be displayed for the public.
He declares that he has served the state and when the time comes the people will make the right choice.
Commissioner for Agriculture Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo was presented as the running mate to the office of the governor of the state.
Mrs Adebajo in her acceptance describes it as a rare privilege and great honour to be given the opportunity of serving the state.
She promised to continue to give her best to the state.
