As part of efforts towards fulfilling the mass housing programme of Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration, Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGSHC), says it will construct 200 housing units across the three Senatorial Districts of the State to cater for low and medium income earners at affordable prices.
The Acting General Manager of the Corporation, Mr. Akinwale Ojo, disclosed this during the oversight visit of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Lands and Housing led by its Chairman, Hon. Damilola Soneye, for 2019 Budget Performance Evaluation in Abeokuta
Mr. Ojo added that land clearing had begun in one of the proposed sites located around Kemta Idi- Aba in Abeokuta, promising to fully mobilize workers to other sites in Ogun East and West as soon as approval was given by the State Governor.
Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Soneye pledged full legislative backing to enable the Corporation meet its housing obligations to the people of the State, particularly in the coming year.
He applauded the 40 percent budget achievement recorded by the agency within the second quarter of the fiscal year, urging it not to relent in its efforts at improving on the success achieved.
