Abiodun Commends Monarch On Peaceful co-existence of Away-Ijebu people

Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commended the Limeri of Awa-Ijebu, Oba Abib Awobajo, for his commitment towards the development and peaceful co-existence of  the people of Awa Ijebu and environs.
The Governor stated this at the 2019 Awa-Ijebu day celebration and fund raising for Awa-Ijebu Civic centre held in Awa, Ijebu North local government area of the State.
The Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi said the  effort of Oba Awobajo  in ensuring that the town was not left behind among its peers was quite obvious and highly commendable, promising that the present administration would provide workable supports to complement the community’s set goals.
“Let me congratulate the Kabiyesi for putting this together, we are aware  of the stride made in this city and development of Awa-Ijebu in catching up with 21st century.
“Your commitment with traditional institution, the way you have carrier  yourself with dignity by making sure peace regins in your domain is highly appreciate”, the Governor stated.
Abiodun thereafter encouraged the people of the area to make themselves available and access every government initiatives targeted at alleviating poverty, pray God to spare the life of the monarch for more greater feats.
Earlier, Limeri of Awa-Ijebu, Oba Abib Awobajo appreciated the state government  for the construction of the Oru-Awa-Ilaporu township road which has been in very delporable condition, over the years , pledging that the community as a while would continue to support the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration in its decision to make life better for the people.
Welcoming guests , Chairman Awa-Ijebu day Planning Committee, Chief Gbenga Baoku said, the day was set aside to bring together  sons and daughters of the area for the collective development of the community.
