The Information management team of the Ogun State Government has paid a condolence visit on the family of late Diji Akinhanmi, who died in the early hours of Thursday in Abeokuta.
Akinhanmi, a seasoned journalist and broadcaster of repute was until his death, the General Manager of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC).
Leading the delegation, the Special Advisers to the Governor on Information & Strategy, Mrs. Modele Sarafa – Yusuf and that of Media, Hon. Remmy Hazzan; the mourners expressed sorrow at the death, describing the late GM as a professional to the core.
Mrs Sarafa-Yusuf, while signing the condolence register said the late Mr. Akinhanmi was a passionate leader of the OGBC team whose zeal, vision, diligence, sense of duty and commitment to reposition the station cannot be faulted.
Hon. Hazzan thereafter led the prayer calling on the God of all comfort to soothe the pain and agony being experienced by the family and friends left behind by the deceased.
Akinhanmi who died at the age of 58 was survived by his wife and children would be greatly missed by the media community for his wealth of experience and his selfless service to humanity.
Also on the delegation was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abiodun Awere and other directors in the ministry.
