Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been commended for lifting embargo placed on the bank accounts of all the twenty (20) Local Government Areas of the State.
The Transition Committee Chairman, Yewa South Local Government, Alhaji Ramon Fagbenro gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in his office at Ilaro, pointing out that the gesture of the Governor would enable people at the grassroots feel government’s impact and enjoy dividends of democracy.
“I want to commend our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for lifting embargo on the accounts of the 20 Local Government across the State. I want to assure citizens of Yewa South of qualitative leadership that will make life more meaningful and fast track the development of the Local Government”.
Alhaji Fagbenro, enjoined the people to maintain the existing peaceful atmosphere in the area, calling on them to cooperate with the present administration and give him the necessary supports to deliver dividend of democracy to the nocks and crannies of the Council Area.
In the same vein, Chairman, Transition Committee, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal, has commended Governor Abiodun for lifting embargo on LGs account, saying this will facilitate rapid development and extend dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroot.
He said the appointment of Transition Committee in the State would accelerate development at the grassroots and ensures proper Local Government administration, in line with the state directives to improve infrastructural development across the State.
“It is obvious that the present administration has a scientific and systematic approach in its decision making paradigm, when decision is not made in a rush, it is a panacea to development”, Lawal stated.
He explained that the present administration in the State is people- oriented, encouraging ‘’Building our Future Together’’, saying, all hands must be on deck to move the State to greater height.
The Chairman enjoined residents of Ado-Odo/Ota to be law abiding, ensure prompt payment of their taxes and be security conscious at their various communities to make Ogun a crime free zone.
