Lockdown: Security Agencies Charged To Enforce Strict Compliance

Following the resolve of the South-West Governors to ensure no trans-state border spread of COVID-19 in the region, the Area Commander of Police (ACP), Ota, Monday Agbonika, has charged the Security Joint Patrol of Ogun West, to ensure tight border security at the axis.

During the joint patrol led by the ACP, Monday Agbonika and assisted by TRACE Area 4 Commander, Ajibade Adekunle, FRSC Ota Unit Commander, Akeem Ganiyu, vehicles  were turned back to enforce  strict  compliance .

According to Agbonika, lots of vehicles, under the pretence of having movement pass did not possess genuine ones, while others did not have at all, mandating all the security agencies consisting Police, TRACE, FRSC, SO-Safe, NSCDC, VIO to thoroughly check the pass of those that claimed exemption.

Remarling, the TRACE Area 4 Commander, Ajibade, advised motorists to be law-abiding and obey the stay at home order for the benefit of all, adding that the recent happenings in the country and globally were testimonies that Coronavirus is real and should not be toyed with.

FRSC Unit Commander, Akeem Ganiyu, in his remark, reminded that motorists could only put their vehicles on roads during emergency and with proper documentation, apart from those exempted by the government’s order.
