As part of efforts at ensuring ease of movement in all parts of Ado-Odo Local Council Development Area, the Council has embarked on massive grading of roads and rehabilitation of other basic infrastructure in the area.
The Chairman, Engr. Saeed Alagbe, while flagging-off the third phase of the project at Ere community, noted that this effort would ease the transportation of farm produce from the rural areas to the urban centres.
Alagbe who said his administration would not relent at ensuring that the people of the Council area continue to enjoy the dividend of democracy, including the provision of basic amenities, despite paucity of funds.
“I commend the road maintenance project team and other departments who are working towards the successful completion of the projects. I will ensure that people in the Council Area enjoy dividends of democracy within the available means and the issue of workers’ welfare will remain paramount in my agenda’’, he emphasised.
One of the residents in the area, Mr. Towo Enuokose, applauded the authorities of the council for embarking on the projects, expressing optimism that the projects, when completed would go a long way in ameliorating the sufferings of the people.
