The Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Olanrewaju Bisiriyu has lauded the affordable housing funding scheme of the Gateway Mortgage Bank, as a welcome idea for the upliftment of the workers’ wellbeing.

 

Engr. Bisiriyu who spoke when he received the Managing Director of the Bank, Mr. Wale Osisanya during a courtesy visit to his office at Oke- mosan, Abeokuta, said the mortgage plan, targeted at providing low cost accommodation at a single digit interest rate of six percent, would enable the State workforce have roof over their heads thereby reducing housing deficit in the State.

 

The HoS stated that the workers’ welfare remains paramount function of his office, affirming his commitment to better their lots, which would in turn encourage them to be more productive.

 

According to him, the mortgage initiative would provide succour to large portion of the workforce from the usual rigour they encountered trying to raise funds through personal means, which often prompt them into corrupt acts.

 

“A lot of individual suffered a lot of constraints at raising funds to build houses and as such, it often prompt them to involve in some on towards activities, but with mortgage financing of this nature, one can be sure of getting his desired shelter without breaking vault “, Engr.  Bisiriyu  stated.

 

 

In his remark, Osisanya affirmed the readiness of his organization to deliver 250 units of 2-Bedroom flats this year, saying forms would be made available soon for prospective applicants.
