The Ogun State Hospitals Management Board, its allied agencies, and the Public Service Transformation Office, have embarked on a study tour to health facilities in Lagos State, in order to incorporate best practises into the health care delivery of the State.

The Permanent Secretary of the Board, Dr. Adesanya Ayinde who led the team to a tour to the General Hospital, Isolo, Lagos State, emphasised the need for cross fertilization of ideas and tapping the good initiative from the neighbouring State, so as to meet up with the developmental trend in the health sector.

Ayinde while appreciating the management and staff of the Hospital for granting his team audience, promised that Ogun State would adopt some of the methods of the general hospital to its health facilities, to improve healthcare delivery.

Also speaking, the Director General, Public Service Transformation Office, Mr. Jola Oyeneye, said his office chose to understudy the neighbouring State to learn more on management of modern health facilities, for Ogun State to experience transformation, adding that knowledge gained during the tour would be replicated for optimal results.

Welcoming them, the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of the General Hospital, Dr. Godwin Akhabhoa, appreciated the team for the visit, noting that the secret behind the success of the facility was as a result of diligence and dedication of its workers, as well as the maintenance culture imbibed by the management.
