Ogun State Housing Corporation says it will make available, over 200 hectares of land, for commercial and industrial development in the coming year.
The General Manager of the Corporation, Arch. Jumoke Akinwunmi, disclosed this during the 2019 budget defence of the Corporation before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Akinwunmi said, about 125 plots would be allocated for industrial and residential purposes, with 110 plots for industrial purpose, while the remaining 15 plots would be for residential, noting that the Corporation was committed to building residential commercial buildings of about 1,500 units at Abeokuta, Ota, Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode areas
She disclosed that 50 hectares are available at various estates for commercial and 200 hectares for industrial use in the year 2019, noting that interested investors would carry out cadastral survey first, before construction of houses in all the estates.
Akinwunmi revealed the sum of N1, 385bn was proposed for the next fiscal year, out of which capital projects would gulp N895m, while N490m would go for recurrent expenditure, adding that the expected revenue was put at N2bn, while N250m was being expected from internal loan for the period
