MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRADITIONAL RULERS, SUBJECTS WILL STIMULATE DEVELOPMENT – ABIODUN

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that established mutual relationship between traditional rulers and their subjects will stimulate enabling environment and value-driven agenda for the advancement of communities.

 Governor Abiodun who made this known at the official installation and presentation of Staff of Office to the new Alale of Ajilete, Oba Kazeem Balogun-Amosun in Ajilete, Yewa South Local Government Area of the State, said growth and development could thrive in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Prince Abiodun, noted that cooperation of the monarch and people of Ajilete would bring progress to the community.

          “As a father to all, you are expected to be accessible, receptive and responsive to the yearnings of your subjects, carrying them along in the traditional administration of your community all the time. You are to note that, more than ever before, you should continue to champion all efforts that will enhance peaceful co-existence among your people and other neighbouring townships”, the Governor said.

He assured that his administration would continue to improve the socio- economic wellbeing of the people, as well as seeking unrelenting collaboration at ensuring that the labour of the past and present heroes would not be in vain.

Abiodun called on the monarch to collaborate with the government and security agencies, to continue to enjoy peace and security in his community and its environs.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman, Transition Committee, Yewa South Local Government, Alhaji Fagbenro Rahmon, called on members of the community to accord the new Oba due recognition and support.

In his response, the Alale of Ajilete, Oba Kazeem Balogun-Amosun, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the privilege given him to serve his people and Ogun State at large, promising he would continue the good work of his predecessors.
