OGUNCCIMA Tasked On Gateway Int’l Trade Fair

The Executive members of Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) have been charged to intensify efforts at making the Gateway International Trade Fair more vibrant.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, who gave the charge, while playing host to the executive members of the Chamber in Abeokuta, said the resuscitation could not be over-emphasised with the benefits attached to it for Local Government Areas and the State at large.

Afuape said the standard and effectiveness of the Trade Fair should be maintained to achieve the expected result, assuring that the Ministry would put in place necessary machinery at ensuring that Local Government Areas perform their expected roles.

“The trade fair in the State should be made to be more vibrant, the standard should surpass the past ones and I am assuring you that, as supervisory Ministry, we will mobilise all the 20 Local Government Areas in the State to the upcoming trade fair,’’ Afuape assured.

In his remarks, the President, OGUNCCIMA, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye said the visit was to solicit support of the Ministry to ensure effective participation of councils at the 2021 Trade Fair, adding that one of the functions of the Chamber is to link industries with producers of raw materials.
