Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has felicitated with the Otun Iyalode of Ota, Chief (Mrs) Sadat Omotayo Onimole on her 80th birthday celebration, describing her as a cerebral and distinguished woman.
The Governor who stated this in his remarks at the reception for the celebrant held at the Shield Convention Center, Obafemi Awolowo road, Osi Ota thanked God for preserving mama’s life, saying she has lived a graceful and worthy life.
Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Abiodun described Chief (Mrs) Sadat Onimole as a trailblazer who has set a very high bar, adding that her good character has earned her respect amongst women and men groups alike in her choosen career, as a teacher and a politician.
“We are thankful that we are part of her success story and particularly happy that God has made it possible in her life time to see a female Head of Service in the state civil service and a Deputy Governor from Ota. This are things she believed in and fought passionately to come to reality” he said.
The Governor then prayed to God to grant her more long life in good health and peace of mind.
In his remarks, former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, represented by his Son, Ogbeni Oludayo Obasanjo, congratulated the celebrant on witnessing another milestone, describing the octogenarian as a teacher of teachers and a woman of substance.
Highlight of the event was the unveiling and launching of a book written by the celebrant, titled ‘Rejected stone became a pillar’ the story of my life.’
