Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says striker Kelechi Iheanacho has the ability to perform at an elite level.
Iheanacho has been instrumental to the Foxes’ qualification for the final of the FA Cup where he scored vital goals especially against giants Manchester United.
His hat-trick against Sheffield United and goal against West Ham were all it took the former Manchester City player to announce a resurgence of his form to the world. Iheanacho has scored 16 goals in all competitions for Leicester this season.
In an interview with Leicester Mercury, the goaltender said they all know his quality.
“We all saw what he could do in training,” Schmeichel said. “He just needed that luck, that decision, or that goal.
“We knew he had the ability, we’ve seen it every day since he joined the club. We know the quality he possesses and now the world is seeing it,” Schmeichel said.
The 24-year-old has been on the radar of top English sides including Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea according to reports in Leicester Mercury.
