OGHA Commences Tour of L.G Council Across The State

Ogun State House of Assembly’s Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has commenced its oversights to Local Government Councils across the State, with a charge on the council helmsmen to further evolve policies and programmes that will aid the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi gave the admonition, while considering the budget performance of Ijebu North, Ijebu North East and Ijebu Ode Local Government Councils.
Considering the budget performance of Ijebu North, Ijebu North East and Ijebu Ode Local Government Councils consisting of their revenue, recurrent and capital expenditures at their respective Local Government Council headquarters, Chairman house Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
Hon. Bolanle Ajayi implored the chairmen and career staff to harness political and administrative strategies towards planning and financing more people-oriented projects that would complement the developmental efforts of the  Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration at the grassroot level.
Other members of the Committee equally challenged the management teams of the council to work towards increasing the revenue drive of their councils, while sustaining mutual relationship between political and career staff.
Earlier in his remarks, the Vice Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government, Mrs Adeyemi Comfort said the council procured medical equipment to its medical centres with rehabilitation of seven roads within the metropolis.
Also, the representative of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Ijebu North East, Yisau Adeniyi revealed that the council imbibed Corporate Social Responsibility mechanism to engage corporate organizations to implement viable projects in the areas, in addition to provision of Solar Lights at Ilese Road, road palliative at Ogidi-Odoregbe, Atan-Itamarun, Aledo-Tollgate roads amongst others developmental projects.
On the side of the Vice Chairman, Ijebu Ode Local Government Dare Alebiosu said the council has renovated 2-lock up shops at Ibadan garage, Health center at Sabo, in addition to road palliative work at Adeola Odutola, Igbeba, Omo-Owo roads amongst others.
