OGSG Flag off Mass Vacination

The ogun state Government has flag off the  mass vaccination campaign, as part of efforts to  strengthening the body system to fight the deadly virus.

Speaking during flagged off ceremony at arcade ground in oke-mosan, Abeokuta Governor Dapo Abiodun also said the vaccination is a pointer for his administration commitment to ensure the citizens of the state are safe from the pandemic.

This significant intervention is targeted for about 2million citizens and 18 years above will be vaccinated against covid19 between today 1st of November to 25th of December year 2021.`

Governor Abiodun said this programme is a clear demonstration of the commitment of president Muhammed buhari administration towards ensuring the vaccination against the deadly disease is extended to Nigerians in all parts of the country.

He stressed that the gateway state has been able fight the pandemic to a stand still.


while given 60 days utilmatum for everyone to be vaccinated governor Abiodun also said Over 5 percent of the total population of the state has received their first dose while 2.4percent have been totally vaccinated.


The excutive director national primary health care development agency, Dr Faisal Shuaib commend the current administration particularly against the fight of the virus.


It was emphasised that the number of vaccination site has now being increased from 131 to 509 across the twenty local government areas which include the primary, secondary and tertiary facilities as well as selected private hospitals in the state.`
