Egba Herbalists Set up Task Force To Stem Ritual Killings

 The Association of Ijobabalawo in Egbaland has inaugurated a formidable task force and 22 disciplinary Committee as part of their efforts to complement the efforts of the State government   at end the rising spate of   Ritual killings across the state.
Some of the responsibilities of the task force committee were to  re – orientate members on special  Programme from time to time and to  monitor them  by ensuring that their activities are inline with the state guidelines and to fish out evil ones.
The Programme was held at the Valley View Auditorium Isale Igbein, Abeokuta, speaking at  the inauguration,  the Chairman, Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye who also doubled as the Chairman of the occasion commended the initiative of the Herbalists Association in Egbaland , discribing them as the best practitioners who seek the wellness of the people in the state.
The Board  chairman  appreciated them for complimenting the  efforts of the Present administration in the state without waiting for the government sponsorship before  embarking  on such a laudable Programme of setting up Task Force committee to monitor members activities.
He  noted that their efforts   will further  make their job generally acceptable  as transparent and honest  practitioners. assured them of continuous  Government support  especially  empowering them through  enlightenment camping and  other areas of theirs pressing needs.
The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Commended the Association and enjoined  others to emulate their determination to rid the profession of criminalities  in Egbaland. The monarch said their commitment would further woo  more people to them and also gain government  Confidence,  warning them to be mindful of giving themselves  contradictory   tittled that have to do with kingship.
Also speaking at the event , the State Police Public Relations, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Police force is very impressed with their initiative   and appreciated them for setting up the task force among the selves to curb  crimes  among herbalist and uncovered  fake herbalists among them , urged them to always handed over any arrested  suspect.  to the law enforcement agencies.  He said the step  would further promote their practice in no small measure .
The Special Adviser to the governor Dapo Abiodun on Security matters, Mr. Biyi Odubote, Commended the State Alternate medicine Board for its creative ways of co-ordinating the activities of the practitioners across the state under the Chairmanship of Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye. He said he was very delighted about the steps taking by the Ijobabalawo in Egbaland and assured them of government support at any time they are in need.
The Chairman PCRC in the state , Dr. Samson Popoola  and State Commandant So Save , Mr. Soji Ganzalo , in a separate remarks, said they were very impressed with the concept of their Programme and willing to partner with the Ijobabalawo Egbland on the mission to end act of Ritual killing in the state.
Earlier in how welcome address, by the Chief host , the Oluwo Ifa of Egbaland , High Chief Ifagbeminiyi Atada , appreciated efforts of the State governorment on the strides to promete Habalist to the front burner of the State , appealing that they should do more and reminding the state governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of the pending pronouncement of Traditional Worshippers and Believers public holiday, saying they will forever be grateful if granted them.
 The High Point of the event was the presentation of the Cirtificate of practice to  the over 200 Babalawos’ in Egbaland by lawyer Femi Falana as the association legal Adviser.
