In their attempt to pursue success for comfortable living, Ogun State Government has enjoined youths to always embrace right attitude and core values.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu said this during the launching of “Value Transformation Roundtables” by Project55 Africa, held at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta.
Prof. Arigbabu encouraged youths to set positive and achievable goals for themselves and urged them not to venture into any character that can lead them into problems.
He lamented the way social vices has characterised the lives of many youths nowadays, saying if society were to be a better place of abode, youths must shun vices like, cultism, ritual killing, drug abuse, examination malpractices, thuggery, kidnapping and others.
“No matter your condition, no matter your situation, if you properly set your mind on your goals, you hope and work towards it, you will achieve whatever you set for yourself”, Arigbabu submitted.
The Commissioner stated that the word like shame and fear have no place in the society today, as people throws caution into the wind without being mindful of the implications, calling on all and sundry to join hands with the government to properly sanitise the society.
Speaking, the Acting Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, while commending the organiser, described the initiative as value reorientation programme put in place to empower people in terms of building capacity for financial liberation.
Fielding interview with newsmen, the Founder, Project55 Africa and convener of the programme, Mr. Ade Adeyemi who was also an Alumni of the institution said the summary of the project was to create wealth and ensure Africans are transformed financially.
