Be Mindful Abiodun Urges Ogun Plgrims

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has urged all intending Pilgrims to the Holy land of Mecca to be mindful of their character, attitudes and follow all laid down instructions guiding such pilgrimages as worthy ambassadors of the State.
The Governor who stated this at the send forth programme held for the Pilgrims at Oba’s complex Oke-mosan, Abeokuta said Ogun State Pilgrims who had previously gone on Holy pilgrimage had distinguished themselves therefore they should follow this precedence.
Represented by his Deputy Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Gov Abiodun while congratulating the pilgrims for being part of this year’s Hajj excercise, noted that for the past two years, intending Pilgrims had to shelve the idea due to the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic worldwide
“Some paid for years 2020 and 2021 and were not able to go, due to the pandemic.
I want us to go there with the fear of Allah, be committed and abide with all Hajj rules, use the opportunity to pray for Allah’s protection over us especially now that insecurity is plaguing the country, pray for the state government, our families and make sure that you observe all Hajj operations” he said
Earlier in his welcome address, the Executive Secretary, Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Dauda Salau, appreciated the state government for the financial support and providing enabling environment for this year’s Hajj to be seamless and stressfree.
