Govt. Advises Youth On Good Conduct

Ogun State Government has advised youths to shun any act that can tarnish the image of the State and the country while admonishing them to obey constituted authority and be security conscious.

Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde said this in a statement in Abeokuta to commemorate the 2022 International Youth Day, stating that the youth as the active population serves as the main agent of change for the growth and development of the society.

Dr. Kehinde who noted that the theme for the Day; “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”, was apt, said solidarity across generations was key to sustainable development, adding that youths should exhibit good character and leverage the potentials of the older generation.

The Commissioner pointed out that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration had created an enabling environment for the youth to thrive through innovative sports activities, skill acquisition, and empowerment programmes, and many more, urging them to play an active role in promoting peace and tolerance for the advancement of the country.
