Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said his government will turn around the fortune of the State despite the challenges confronting the nation.
Abiodun gave the assurance at the 59th Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Service of the Celestial Church of Christ, Archdiocesan Headquarters, Ijaye, Abeokuta, noting that the well-being of the people remained paramount to the present government.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi stated that the government had widened developments to bring more dividends of democracy to the residents, encouraging the people to support his administration for improved livelihood.
He urged the people to have faith in God, be courageous, and not despair, saying, “the Governor holds the people of the State in high esteem and this explains why he has sent me here. He believes so much in the biblical principle of sowing and harvest which is what is being celebrated here today”.
Prince Abiodun noted that his administration had built on foundations laid in the State through various people-oriented projects and programmes that would bring immediate and long-term benefits to the people.
In his sermon, the international headquarters representative of the Church, Venerable Superior Evangelist Gabriel Jerry, admonished the congregation to always be appreciative of God’s blessings upon their lives and contribute their quota to nation building.
