FOLLOWING a season in which they won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, reached the Champions League final and competed until the last matchday for the Premier League, Liverpool kicked off this campaign with a huge 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Yet, things have not gone as planned for Jurgen Klopp’s side who struggled in their first Premier League games of the season before losing 4-1 to Napoli in the Champions League.
Liverpool have made their worst ever start to a season under Klopp. They currently sit seventh in the league with just nine points from six games.
Meanwhile, the defeat at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is the heaviest loss suffered by the Reds in the Champions League.
“Not really, but who knows?” Klopp replied when asked if he expected to be sacked after Chelsea fired Thomas Tuchel.
“Ours are calm and expect me to sort it and not think someone else will. That’s how they see it.
