Ogun Takes Primary School Enrollment Campaign To Parks And Markets

In his bids to ensure education for all, the Ogun State Government has taken enrollments campaign of pupils into public primary schools for the year 2022/2023 Academic Session to motor parks and markets.


The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu during the campaign to some parks and markets in Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu, said all pupils in the State is entitled to qualitative and free education, hence the need for the Ministry to engage in efficient campaign to mobilise parents and guardian to bring their wards for registration.


Prof. Arigbabu said the Prince Dapo Abiodun was adjudged the best Governor in the education sector by the Parents and Teachers Association, because of his huge investment in education, saying registration of Learners into public primary schools is free.


The Commissioner stated that public primary schools across the State are well equipped with adequate facilities, trained teaching and non-teaching staff, conducive environment and maximum security, urging the parents to support the government in building a better future for the pupils, by taking them to nearby school for registration.


“We want to encourage all parents to take their children to school to register. This is a way to further reduce rate of out of school children in our State and due to free education policy of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun,” Arigbabu said.


Earlier speaking, the Director of Education, Primary Education Department, Mrs. Yemisi Onayiga encouraged the market women to register their children into public schools, saying government schools are known for the best educational standards.


Also speaking, the Chairman, Isake-Oko Park Management, Sagamu,  Comrade Shamusudeen and the Babaloja of Oke-Aje Market, Ijebu-Ode, Mr. S.K. Adesanya appreciated the present administration in the State for investing massively in the life of children, enjoined other parents to take advantage of the free education by the current government in the State.
