Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi has felicitate Professor Gbolade Osinowo, a former Chief of Staff to President Olusegun Obasanjo as he turns 73.
Ogun SSG, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who was at the Special birthday thanksgiving service of the Septuagenarian at Emmanuel Anglican church, Ojowo, Ijebu-Igbo said Prof. Osinowo is a great inspiration to his people and one with exemplary character.
Talabi extolled the doggedness and excellence of the celebrant that earned one of the coveted leadership positions in the nation.
Meanwhile, the SSG has charged christians to imbibe the principal of sowing and harvest, saying ” today like everyday presents opportunity for all of us to sow good seeds that will bring forth good harvest”.
Talabi who stated this at the maiden edition of the ijebu-North Anglican Diocesan Harvest held at the St Matthew’s Cathedral, Anglican church, Ojowo, Ijebu-Igbo maintained that “We must continue to strive to ensure we sow goods seeds of good deeds, sacrifice, love and help that will make others better knowing what people do lives even after them”, Talabi said.
In his sermon, the Bishop of Ijebu North Diocese, Rt. Revd. Solomon Kuponu in his sermon titled “Bountiful Harvest” noted that there are physical and spiritual harvests, saying whereas the physical harvest is earthly, the spiritual harvest is the one that takes place in heaven.
Bishop Kuponu admonished the people to say good seeds of labour of love and financial investment in the vineyard of Christ, saying God can never bless emptiness or the empty-handed in the God’s work.
He concluded by saying the greatest harvest is that of the soul, where God will separate the wicked from the righteous, urging the people to live a righteous life to make heaven.
