The Executive Chairman, Sagamu Local Government in Ogun State, Hon. Afolabi Odulate has inaugurated a 10-man Education Authority, whose appointment has just been approved by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as members of the Local Government Education Authority.
Hon. Odulate, speaking during the inauguration at the Local Government Secretariat in Sagamu, where all board members were administered the Oath of Office and Allegiance respectively, said the tasks assigned to them was a call to service.
The Chairman charged them to work effectively and efficiently, to achieve the desired result in the Local Government, saying education is the bedrock of development in the society, and had prompted the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration to invest in the education system through his ’’Yellow Roof’’ initiative.
The Council boss also congratulated the appointees and wished them all the best in their new appointments, saying the Authority members were of good repute and would deliver as expected.
Responding on behalf of the newly sworn-in appointees, the Executive Secretary, Mr. Kunle Okubote, appreciated God for the great opportunity given to him and other members of the team to serve the people, applauding the State Governor for the trust reposed in them and promised to discharge their duties diligently.
Members of the newly inaugurated authority include Messers Tunde Oshikoya as Chairman, Kunle Okubote, Samson Bello, Jeremiah Sofoyeke, Olumuyiwa Soneye, Joseph Olufemi, Adebayo Sonuga, Hon. Muhammed Salisu, as well as Mesdames Adeyitan Adesanya, Amudalat Bello and Esther Soboyejo.
