Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has made a pronouncement, changing the name of the Ogun State College of Health Technology Ilese, Ijebu-Ode to the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health Sciences and Allied Sciences, Ilese, Ijebu-Ode.
Prince Abiodun revealed this during an engagement he had with students of the institution, disclosing that the institution with its new status would soon have a substantive Rector, saying his administration would continue to support the development of education in the State.
“I, the Governor of Ogun State hereby pronounce that this institution formally called Ogun State College of Health Technology is hereby renamed Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences”, he said
The Governor noted that the present government would continue to prioritise the welfare of students in the State and ensure immediate payment of their bursary, promising to fix the internal road of the institution in the next one week, while the Ilese road which was recently re-awarded by his administration would soon be completed.
Earlier in his remarks, the President, Student Union of the institution, Rafiu Rilwan, acknowledged Governor Abiodun for his support to the development of the College.
