Abiodun Resuscitates Market, Commissions 20 Open Market Stalls, Others

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commissioned a-20 Open market Stalls, So-Safe Corp Command Office, and Ultra-modern Toilet facilities for the use of traders and people in Olorunda Anoye Market, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the State.

Commissioning the projects, Price Abiodun said the projects were aimed at creating an enabling environment to engender wealth creation for all and sundry irrespective of social class in line with the all-inclusive agenda of the administration.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Abiodun, urged the people to make good use of the facilities, keep the environment clean and commit to maintaining the facilities, so as not to allow disrepair, after which the Governor commissioned the So-safe Corp Command Office, Public Toilet, and newly constructed 20 Open stalls.

He commended the Bejeroku of Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Stephen Adeleke Adekoya for his commitment to the welfare of his people which culminated in the government’s intervention in the project, to complement the existing facilities at the market.

On his part, the host Monarch, Oba Stephen Adekoya applauded the Governor for constructing the Lat-Ilesa-Molusi College road through Ita-Ale, Oke-Agbo, saying the resuscitation of the market would not have been possible without the link road which had eased the transportation of goods to and from of the market.

Oba Adekoya appreciated the contribution of the Ogun SSG, Mr. Talabi, and a former Ogun State Commissioner for Health Dr. Babtunde Ipaye for donating the 20 open stall shops and for the provision of a motorised borehole within the market respectively and the contributions of other stakeholders in the area.

In their separate remarks, the Iyaloja and Babaloja of onoya, Oke-Agbo Market, Chief Mrs. Ayo Falade and Chief Emmanuel Olatunji respectively opined that marketers and traders have felt the positive impact of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration, as it projects are having a direct bearing on the livelihood of the people, pledging their support to the administration.

Also present at the event were Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Adebajo, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdulrazak Adenugba, the Commander So-Safe Corp, Mr. Soji Gonzalo, among other dignitaries.
