Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, has admonished Information Officers to be creative in their reportage, towards promoting government policies and programmes.
Mr. Fagbohun, who made this known during the statutory meeting of the State Ministry of Information and Strategy, held at Press Center, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, said as image marker of government, Information Officers should be abreast of happenings in their various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
He advised that officers should adopt good writing skills that would attract readers, noting that it was imperative to acquire more knowledge, in order to perform effectively in their different cadres.
The HoS, urged the Ministry’s officials to improve on the Internally Generated Revenue, to enable the State government provide more dividends of democracy to the people, calling on them to be disciplined, dress well as public servants, be punctual, timely and obey the authority.
Earlier in his address, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Waheed Adesina, who highlighted achievements of the agency, said more innovations had been introduced by the management to adequately inform and enlighten members of the public on the activities of the present administration.
