Continue To Push For Excellence, HoS Tells Procurement Officers

Procurement Officers in the Ogun State Civil Service have been admonished to continue to push for excellence, support the government in actualising its policies, curtail wastages and block leakages, while discharging their statutory duties.

The Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, gave the admonition when he hosted the management of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN), led by its National President, Alhaji Sikiru Balogun in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Mr. Fagbohun said the ultimate goal of establishing the Procurement Cadre was not just to have it, but to discharge creditably the duties and responsibilities attached to the cadre, noting that, “Cadres are not just created to further professional interest but to render quality service to help government achieve its aims and objectives”.

He urged Officers in the cadre to continually add value by broadening their horizon in their chosen field, expand the frontiers of excellence in the Civil Service, uplift the glory of the National Body, as well as tap into the opportunity of rising to the pinnacle of their career. Earlier in his submission, Alhaji Balogun said the National Body was in the State to felicitate the Head of Service on his appointment, lauding the effort of the present administration for its support to the Bureau.
