OGSG To Train Artisans On Functional Literacy – S.A Education 

The Special Adviser to the governor on Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has said that the Ministry would support the Artisans group in the State, by organising periodic training programmes on functional literacy for effective productivity.

 

Prof. Arigbabu in made this known in Abeokuta during a courtesy visit of the Artisans Association of Nigeria (AAON), Ogun State chapter, saying the training would be a continuous process to make artisan literate and help broaden their knowledge in the area of calculations and technicalities.

 

Arigbabu assured that the government would engage members of the AAON appropriately in the area of rehabilitation, renovation and maitainance of the schools and supply of furniture, plastering among others, saying there would also be provision of zero rate interest loan facility to members to serve as surport in starting up their business.

 

Speaking, The President AAON, Ogun State chapter, Mr Anthony Ayodele appreciated the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led Administration for it usual surport, promising their continuous synergy with the Ministry in Technical and Vocational training of learners

 

In another development, the Ogun State Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria during a courtesy visit to the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu in Abeokuta, has promised to continue to support the government in the area of introduction of innovations that would provide visible development for women, children and the society at large.

 

The State Ameerah of the female Islamic group while intimating the management of the Ministry on their contributions to the education sector in the State said the Women wing had donated furniture, teaching materials among others to many schools in all the regions of the State.

 

Responding, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu appreciated them for supporting the government to achieve its aim of repositioning the standard of education, assuring of government support for the uplift of the citizens of Ogun State irrespective of their religion background.
