The Ogun State government has again reassured of grassroots policies that would bring about reformative changes and dividends of democracy for harmonious cohabitation amongst communities.
Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Alhaji Ademola Balogun stated this while receiving members of Ogun State Community Development Caretaker Committee led by Acting Chairman, Akogun Lucien Taiwo, who was on a courtesy visit to his Oke-Mosan office, Abeokuta.
Balogun stressed the need for mutual understanding and cooperation among community leaders and government, noting that such would help in formulating policies and bringing dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
He appreciated the committee members for their unflinching support for the present administration, promising a positive change in community service administration.
Responding, the Acting Chairman, Community Development Caretaker Committee, Lucien, urged the Commissioner to operate an open-door policy, and address germane issues such as electing new executives into the State Community Development Council which is crucial to harmonious cohabitation.
He implored the Commissioner to bring all aggrieved members of the State Council, Zonal Council and CDA chairmen to a round table for reconciliation, pledging the council’s maximum support and cooperation.
