Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commiserated with the family of the Grand-Mufti of Egbaland and Chief Imam of Egba-Agura Muslim Community, Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun, over the death of his wife, Alhaja Mistura Balogun.
Governor Abiodun, while commiserating with the Chief Imam at his residence in Abeokuta, described him as a man of faith, noting that the Muslim community in Egba-Agura has lost a virtuous woman and urged the cleric to continue to put his trust in God.
“We can mourn, we can be sorrowful but we should not mourn like those who do not have faith or hope and I know you are a man of faith and you have hope. We know that the Almighty God has called Alhaja home and she will be resting in the bosom of the Lord”, he said.
The Governor also commended Prof. Balogun for ensuring peace at the Tai Solarin College of Education, thereby engendering a conducive atmosphere for learning in the institution.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the daughter of the deceased, who is a Director in the Civil Service, Mrs. Hibatullah Balogun-Jimoh, appreciated the Governor for honouring the family with his visit.
