Gov. Abiodun Continues Palliative Distribution as Muslims Mark Eid-Il-Fitri

In continuation of effort to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic hardship across the country, the Ogun state Government today continued the distribution of food palliative to Muslim faithful in ijebu ode as they observed the Eid fitri prayers having completed the 30 day Ramadan fasting
Speaking during the distribution at the central Eid praying ground in the town, Chairman of Ijebu ode Local Government Area, Hon. Babatunde Emilola-Gazal said the distribution of the palliatives was timely as it would enable people to celebrate the 2024 Eid-El-Fitri with sufficient food on their table.
Also speaking,  Consultant to the Governor on Media, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye pointed out that the gesture was a fulfillment of the promise made by Governor Dapo Abiodun to cushion the effect of Economic hardship on the people of the State.
He noted that before now, similar gesture had been extended to the adherents of Christian and Islamic faiths during the just concluded Lent and Ramadan fasting as hundreds of bags of rice were distributed to churches and mosques across the state.
He enjoined the people to continue supporting the Abiodun-led administration with prayers, emphasizing that the governor has a lot of goodies in stock for the people in line with the building our future together agenda
Speaking later in a chat, some of the beneficiaries including Mrs. Akorede Kafayat and Mrs Taiwo Abdul stated that the donation will go a long way to cushion the effects of the economic hardship on them.
