Ogun State government has begun the enrollment of beneficiaries for the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (RH-CCT) across its 20 Local Government Areas.
The Programme Manager, Ogun State Cash Transfer Unit, Mrs. Funmi Baker, made the confirmation while fielding questions from newsmen during an assessment and supervision of the exercise at Ipara community, in Remo North Local Government Area of the State.
Mrs. Baker explained that the ongoing enrollment exercise in the state was the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (RH-CCT) programme, which was in line with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to alleviating the current economic reforms in the country, expressing optimism that the financial assistance would make a significant impact on the life of beneficiaries.
She disclosed that over 80,000 households would benefit from the exercise in 192 wards, 2681 communities across the state, with each beneficiary receiving a sum of N25,000 per three payment circles, adding that the enrollment list was generated by the National Cash Transfer Office, Abuja, through the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Officers in the state.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Morenike Sofade and Mrs. Fathia Ogunsola appreciated the federal and state governments for fulfilling their promises to ease the suffering of the poor in the society, promising to use the money judiciously.
