Key Into Govt’s Policies, Programmes. HoS Urges Workers

Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, has called on workers in the Civil/Public Service to continue to key into various policies and programmes of government towards moving the state forward, as encapsulated in the ISEYA mantra.

Mr. Onasanya made the call while leading other workers to God in a special service tagged, ‘Workers’ Day Thanksgiving’, organised to commemorate year 2024 May Day, at Government House Chapel, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta, saying workers as the engine room of government, must rededicate themselves to duty, continue to be loyal and put in their best at various their duty posts, as reward would be based on labour and diligent service.

He urged the workers to have a better understanding of the responsibilities of government, soliciting continued prayers for the workforce, government, state and the nation.

“In everything, give thanks, that’s why we are here to start with thanksgiving. Let me seize this opportunity to congratulate all the workers of Ogun State on the celebration of this year’s May Day celebration. By giving thanks as we are doing, we are moving to higher realms”, he said.

Earlier in his message tagged, “There Are Rewards For Your Good Works”, the Minister in Charge, Bishop Amos Idowu, admonished leaders in any capacity to be good examples and deliver with the fear of God in the discharge of their duties, as there is a reward, whether good or bad in whatever they do.

In their separate interviews, Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, Engr. Olufisan Osiyale and Director, Service Matters, Bureau of Service Matters, Mrs. Oyinlola Oyenuga, lauded the organisers of the programme, enjoining workers to remain diligent at their duty posts.

Highlights of the thanksgiving session include special prayers offered to the governor, government, workforce and the nation at large, while the HoS led workers to the altar for thanksgiving.
