Teachers Charged on Technological Inclination for Professional Effecient Imparation

In order to have a technologically driven and world class educated student, teachers have been charged to transit from ancient style of teaching and embrace integrating technology and digitalisation for professional, effective and efficient impartation.
Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu gave this charge during the 2024 National Conference of Committee of Deans of Education In Nigerian Universities (CODENU) with the topic ‘Innovation of the Future Trajectory of Nigerian Teacher Education’  held in University of Lagos, Lagos State, saying the quality of the teachers would determine the quality of transformative change within the society.
Prof. Arigbabu stated that the realisation of educational goals, such as advancement and progress, hinges significantly on the availability of competent and qualified teachers who can translate these aspirations into tangible outcomes.
The Commissioner reiterated that digitalising the education system of Ogun State has really help to profer visible and long lasting solution to major challenges encountered by the sector, including, data driven decision taking, curbing indiscipline among learners, teachers welfare, supply of adequate furnitures and other infrastructural amenities to the schools among others.
“The implementation of innovative assessment strategies, which transcend traditional methods, focuses on authentic and holistic evaluation of student learning outcomes, skills, and competencies. ” Arigbabu affirmed
Earlier in his welcome address, The Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Prof. Adebayo Oladipo said the conference was aimed at engaging Deans of Education In meaningful dialogue, share best  practices and foster collaboration, that would  benefit the students and the future generations they represent, urging that they should explore the new ways learnt to enhance the teaching and learning process.
