Ogun State Government has commissioned the newly renovated paediatric ward carried out by the Egba Legend Club, District 404-B4 Nigeria, with a task on other well meaning individuals to give increasing support to the State Government for more facilities to cater for the growing populace.
Perforning the commissioning at the State Hospital, Sokenu, Abeokuta, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Hospital Management Board, Dr. Nike Elemide, appreciated the laudable project carried in and out of the Pediatric ward, which included, tiles of the entire ward, provision of a refrigerator, donation of bed sheets, painting of in and out of the ward, construction of walk ways to easy the movement.
Coker encouraged people to be more public spirited by giving back to society and support to the needy, most especially the children, saying the State Government remains committed to collaborating with well-meaning Nigerains individuals, clubs and organisation.
In his speech, the District Governor of Abeokuta, Lion Samson Abodunrin, represented by Lion[Engr.] Taiwo Fatoki, said the club has donated magnanimously to the humanitarian gesture, saying the club has donated Eye Centre in Ota, Ipokia and planning to start a construction of a building project with a land to be allocated in due course.
Speaking on behalf of the Hospital Management, Chief Medical Director, Dr. Bababunmi Osinaike, appreciated the work done at the paediatric ward within the twenty one days, saying the club has impacted the people of the State.
In his welcome address, Lion Ayorinde Orija explained that the idea behind the renovated paediatric facilities was part of the club’s vision towards adding value to humanity.
