Abiodun’s Aide Charges Youths on Creative Skills, Critical Thinking

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Ogun State on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo has charged youths in Remo axis of the State on creative skills acquisition and critical thinking for personal development.
Mrs. Soyombo who gave this charge in Ikenne during a Youth Summit with the theme; “Advocacy on the 1st Century Menace that Affects the Youths in Society” organised by Ikenne Youth Association in conjunction with Ikenne Reform Group noted that for young people to be successful in life, they must be focused, have a goal and choose their peers wisely.
She added that any child that aspire 21st Century success, such must be smart, determined, create values and avoid distractions of any form, saying youth engagement in social vices world not only spell doom for him or her, but poses great threat on the community.
The Governor’s Aide said “Have a goal as individual in life, engage yourself in good things, think on how to develop your business and stay focused in life, then your success is sure”
In her presentation, the Deputy of Narcotics, Nigeria Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mrs. Funmilayo Bamisaye submitted that the society is plagued with drug abuse which has become a significant threat to public health, National stability and peace.
Mrs. Bamisaye warned against the consequences of drugs abuse to include, sleeplessness, sickness, rape, domestic violence, extrajudicial killing among others, noting that the only way out of being addicted is to avoidance.
Appreciating the Guests and participants, the President of Ikenne Youths Association, Mr. Segun Okusanya stated that if youths are reformed in all areas, the community will be saved and people will enjoy peaceful co-existence.
