Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, made the call while playing host to the management team of the NOA, led by its State Director, Mrs. Olufunke Salako, in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Onasanya, who noted that information is power, said its dissemination should reflect professionalism to reach out to the people positively, adding that feedback was essential to feel the pulse of the public on issues related to government and the governed.
He commended the agency for ensuring that government’s policies and programmes were better understood by Nigerians, saying its efforts had helped in fostering national unity and development through accurate and timely information, imploring it to propagate the ‘Building Our Future’ agenda of the present administration through the state-owned media outlets.
In her submission, Mrs. Salako said the team came to felicitate the HoS on his appointment and seek collaboration with the state government in the discharge of the agency’s statutory responsibility.
