OGSG HONURS NEW SET OF OUTSTANDING STUDENTS, RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM BIC 

Indications has shown that motivations enhances excellent performances and efficient productivity, thus the Ogun State Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has honoured a new set of outstanding and innovative students with cash awards.
Ayodele Babalola, learner of the Acts of the Apostles Grammar School, Iperu Remo, a participant of “Build a Thong” camping Programme in October, 2023, that built a replica of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) that dispensed cash instantaneously was appreciated for his innovation, with a promise to present him to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for further acknowledgement.
Also, Ibunkunoluwa Afolabi and Sarah Adelakun who won 2nd Overall Best Senior and Junior Categories respectively at the 2024 National Competition of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools were also commended for their outstanding performances and for making the State proud.
Receiving the learners in Abeokuta, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu reiterated the commitment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration towards promoting academic excellence, saying the investment of the government has been yielding a great results through excellent performances of the learners, especially from flagship schools.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner, Prof. Arigbabu while receiving a donation of 50,000 pens, donated to both public primary and secondary schools in Ogun State by the BIC company, commended the organisation for supporting the government in its policy towards providing quality and accessible standard of education for the citizens.
The Commissioner enjoined others in the society to take a clue from the BIC and others that have been cooperating with the government in providing infrastructural interventions and academics materials to schools for the State to continually maintain the education legacy that it’s known for.
Speaking earlier, the Commercial Director of BIC in Nigeria, Mr. Adeyemi Ojo appreciated the Governor Prince Dapo for maintaining the legacy of State as number one in education, medicine, accounting, art and theatre, even in agriculture, assuring that the company will partner the government in its policy of rewarding outstanding learners, schools and teachers.
Mr. Adeyemi noted that BIC is a manufacturing company that produces writing materials for the advancement of learners, saying the organisation has impacted on two hundred million lives across Africa, even outside the classroom with the aim of ensuring everybody’s success.
