Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed his condolences to the staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun State following the death of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Niyi Ijalaye.
During a condolence visit to the INEC office, Governor Abiodun praised the late REC, noting that Barrister Ijalaye will be fondly remembered for his integrity and unwavering commitment to his duties. The governor emphasized that Ijalaye lived a life of impact, highlighting his significant contributions toward strengthening democracy in Ogun State.
In her remarks, Mrs. Rabiat Titilayo Akinola, the Director of Finance and Accounts of INEC in Ogun State, appealed to the state government to support the family of the deceased and the commission during this challenging time.
