Effective relationship with Community Development Committee is crucial to the successful Local Government administration, hence the need to incorporate it into scheme of governance.
The newly elected Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal, made this known, while playing host to the Zonal Community Development Committee at the council secretariat, Ota, saying that his administration would operate an open-door-policy in handling community development issues.
Hon. Lawal, who appreciated role of the Committee in generating revenue for the council, particularly through community rates, called for its cooperation in blocking revenue leakages in the council area.
Also speaking, Acting Director, Community Development, Mrs. Racheal Adeosun, assured members of the Committee that the new administration in the local would not relent in fulfilling its electioneering promises
Earlier, Chairman, Zonal Community Development Committee in the local government, Alhaji Olatunji Onaolapo, commended the warm reception organised for the council Chairman, highlighting several concerns which included, need to improve security in communities, provision of some social amenities, support for the Committee’ activities, among others.
