Ogun State Government has commenced installations of solar street lights in some of the communities in Sagamu, Odeda, and Obafemi-Owode Local Government Areas of the state, to enhance the security of their communities at night and boost commercial activities.
Director of Rural Electrification, Ministry of Rural Development, Mr. Ismail Balogun said the solar street lights were installed in different areas of the three Local Governments in continuation of the good work of the state government.
He noted that more communities and rural areas would benefit in the future, as the state government was committed to illuminating every nooks and crannies of the communities within the state, charging Community leaders and CDAs to take the custodian of the facilities and safeguard it.
Balogun assured that, the present administration had more dividends of democracy in the pipeline for communities across the state, but the process had been turn by turn.
In their separate remarks, the Chairmen, Palmgroove CDA, Sotunbo Sagamu LGA, Alfa Gbadamosi Sulaimon, Victory Estate CDA, Ilugun Asalu, off Kemta Housing Estate, Odeda LGA, Mr. Ige Johnson as well as, Apena Magbon CDA, Obafemi-Owode LGA, Mr. Ogunfowoke Adetayo, expressed their delight and appreciated the state government for the solar installations in their communities, while assuring of their continued support and loyalty to the present administration.
