The Directors in Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have been charged on maintaining good relationship with their subordinates to gain the best of their abilities
The charge came to fore in Abeokuta by the Commissioner in the Ministry, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu during the visit of the retired Permanent Secretaries and a Director who have once served as education officers, intimating them on the need to support the Ministry in training the officers on job efficiency.
Prof. Arigbabu noted that transformational changes is essential in some department of education, if the education Ministry would continue to earn its respect as agency of government for policy making.
The Commissioner while taking the visitor on facilities tour in some units in the Ministry, revealed that each department will be automated with technology equipment to make the work easier, adding that the examination unit has been digitalised to curb malpractices in all the categories of examination.
Commending the education former education officers to include, Mr. Ayodele Koleade, Dr. Joseph Onabanjo, Otunba Johnson Odeyemi, Dr. Waheed Olanloye and Mr. Samuel Adeotan for their worthy legacies which shows through the abilities of officers that worked under their supervision, soliciting their cooperation to train the present work force on job efficiency, proactiveness and quality assurance knowledge.
Speaking, Mr. Joseph Koleade who retired as the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Teaching Service Commission acknowledged that the ministry had recorded a lot of changes and transformation since the introduction of Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda, promising their support on any area it might need them for further effective delivery.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu receiving the management of Zulikhat Abiola School of Islamic and Arabic Studies led by Dr. Khadr Mustapha Charged them on systematic approach towards presenting their agitations to the government, assuring them of Prince Dapo Abiodun administration’s support in promoting religious harmony.
The Commissioner also presented house keys and documents to Mr. Akeem Badru of St Michaels R.C.M School, Ogunpa Lunloye, Abeokuta, who won 2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Awards out of participants from 99 countries of the world in redeeming the promised made by the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun during the year 2023 Teachers’ Day Celebration.
