Residents of Ogun East Senatorial District have lauded the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun for its extensive road infrastructure projects, describing them as a significant boost to economic growth and community development.
The commendation came during the Governor’s inspection tour of ongoing road projects in the district. Expressing his delight, a resident, Mr. Rashidi Arigbabu, noted that the area had long struggled with poor road infrastructure, but the ongoing projects had brought remarkable transformation.
Similarly, Mrs. Afolashade Balogun, a lecturer, emphasised the critical role of well-constructed roads in facilitating economic activities and improving access to essential services and markets. She commended the state government’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural development.
Echoing similar sentiments, a trader, Mr. Abisola Onanuga, and Mrs. Anike Obashola highlighted the importance of quality road networks in supporting businesses. They noted that improved roads ease the transportation of raw materials and finished products, enhancing trade and attracting more investors to the region.
Speaking on the projects, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, appreciated residents for their patience during the construction process. He reaffirmed government’s dedication to delivering high-quality road infrastructure across the state, to enhance mobility and economic prosperity.
The inspection covered several key roads, including the Iperu-Ode Remo-Sapade Road, Sagamu (Hospital Road Junction – Ayepe), Awokoya Road in Ijebu-Ode, and the Igbeba/Talbort/Yidi/Stadium/Luba/Oke Aje Market roads.
