Italian newspaper, Tuttosport reports that Juventus are still closely following Victor Osimhen’s transfer situation amid the uncertainty surrounding his future ahead of the summer window.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli has been linked with top clubs in Europe thanks to his eye-catching performance in the Turkish topflight.
Juventus will reshuffle their attack in the 2025/26 campaign as Randal Kolo Muani is on loan from PSG, while Dusan Vlahovic will likely be put on the market as the Serbian is refusing to extend his contract with the Bianconeri.
According to Tuttosport, Osimhen remains a priority target for the Old Lady, but the Nigeria international is reportedly in talks with Manchester United, while some sources have also ruled the EPL side out of his suitors.
The report adds that Osimhen’s purchase from Napoli would cost at least €70m plus a double-figure salary while Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui emerges as one of their primary alternatives for €50m.
Osimhen’s compatriot and reigning African Player of The Year, Ademola Lookman, another Atalanta striker, is also a target for Juventus, but he is more of a support striker than a classic centre forward.
According to Tuttosport, Retegui would cost at least €50m. Jonathan David, on the other hand, is available on a free transfer but has a high salary and commission costs.
While transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has hinted that Manchester United and other EPL clubs can’t afford Osimhen due to his wage demands, the latest in the unfolding transfer situation has it that the Red Devils are still considering a move for the Nigerian.
According to GIVEMESPORT, United are lagging in the race to sign Ipswich striker Liam Delap due to their interest in Osimhen.
In 35 games for Galatasaray across all competitions this season, the 26-year-old has 30 goals and seven assists.
