BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF OGUN, COMMISSIONER TASKS CONTIGENT

Members of the Ogun State contingent to the 9th National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Delta State have been tasked to be good ambassadors by following rules and regulations of the games, particularly, those bordering on health and security in order to achieve success at the end of the games tagged ‘Asaba 2025’

Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka gave this admonition in Abeokuta at a farewell ceremony for the contingent as they depart for Asaba, reminding them that whatever they do while the games lasted would have impact on the image of the State.

Isiaka, who appreciated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering support and commitment to sports and youth development as demonstrated in huge investments in the provision and renovation of sporting facilities, urged the contingent to reciprocate the gesture by winning laurels for the State at the Games.

Also addressing members of the contingent, the Director of Sports, Ogun State Sports Council, Mr. Seyi Sonde, urged them not to be involved in doping but practise hard in order to have a bountiful medal haul.

Responding on behalf of other members, Ogunbowale Abigael an athlete and Ogundare Kehinde, a volleyball player appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for always providing for their and pledged to do the State proud by winning medals
