The Chairman of Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has commended the wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for launching the distribution of sanitary pads aimed at supporting schoolgirls across the country.
Last week, the President’s wife flagged off the distribution of 370,000 sanitary pads worth over N2.5bn to support schoolgirls in rural communities.
The unveiling was held at Lagos House, Ikeja, and was simultaneously kick-started across other states.
Animashaun, in a Monday statement, lauded the project being hosted in Lagos by the wife of the state governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.

The initiative, according to her, is being celebrated as a groundbreaking step in menstrual health advocacy and girl-child empowerment.
She praised Senator Oluremi as “a true mother of the nation whose compassion and foresight continue to birth life-changing initiatives for women, children, and the underprivileged.”
She described the Flow with Confidence project as “a message of dignity, hope, and empowerment for the girl-child, beyond just menstrual health.”
She lauded Ibijoke for her commitment to grassroots implementation of the initiative in the state.
She reaffirmed her administration’s readiness to partner with relevant stakeholders in advancing programmes that uplift women and children, in line with the Renewed Hope vision of the current administration.
“The dignity of our girls must be preserved, and through this initiative, we are giving them confidence to stay in school, dream big, and contribute meaningfully to society,” she said.
