Civil/Public Servants in Ogun State have once again been charged to continue to embrace the various reforms of the present administration aimed at repositioning the State as the investment destination of choice in the Country.
The Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya gave the charge in his office at Oke- Mosan while fielding questions from journalists who visited his office on the first working week of the year to ascertain the workers’ readiness to duties in the New Year.
According to him, ‘’Civil servants as the engine room of government must remain dedicated to the effective implementation of the cardinal programmes of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government as enunciated in the I.S.E.Y.A. mantra’’.
Describing the New Year broadcast of Governor Abiodun as apt, for capturing the whole essence of governance, as he expressed gratitude to the workforce and the entire citizenry for their cooperation and reassured of the unwavering commitment of government to all inclusive sectoral developments, provision of social amenities and welfare services.
He said, Ogun State has grown in leaps and bounds as evidenced in all the achievements of the administration, especially, its increased Internally Generated Revenue, Gross Development Products among others, which would not have been made possible without the conscious efforts of the workforce adding that the enviable place of Ogun Civil Service among the comity of States was commendable.
The Head of Service urged the workers to continue to strive for excellence and sustain such, as displyed by the State’s forebears who laid the solid foundation for the Service to thrive till date.
“I want to thank His Excellency, the Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for revving up the engine of government through various forms of capacity building which he continues to approve and by the grace of God will continue to intensify efforts at building the capacity of the workers to enhance the smooth operations of government business.
“Ogun State cannot afford to lag behind, we are a leading State and we are repositioned for excellence, so, excellence must continue to be our watchword”, he said.
Some of the workers interviewed, Mr. Lateef Shittu of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mrs. Stella Olasode, Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives and Mrs. Kabirat Obadimu of the Bureau of Service Matters appreciated the Governor for the end of the year bonus and other welfare packages enjoyed by them in the year 2025 and pledged their unalloyed cooperation and commitment to the government as well as renewed dedication to duties in the new year.
